Finding the right therapist matters
Feeling safe, understood, and respected is the foundation for good therapy.
Choosing a counsellor can feel like a big step, especially if you’re already overwhelmed. My aim is to offer a calm, supportive space where we work together as a partnership, with warmth and professionalism.
Professionally qualified
I’m an experienced, fully qualified counsellor working in private practice in North London. I’m a registered member of a professional body, the BACP, and I work in line with their ethical framework.
My approach
People are different, so therapy should be flexible. My approach brings together different elements of therapy depending on what you need. That can include:
- Person‑centred work; a supportive, non‑judgemental space focused on what you’re dealing with right now
- Psychodynamic thinking; gently exploring how your history may be shaping patterns in the present
- Where helpful, I may bring in elements of CBT, Gestalt, and Solution‑Focused Brief Therapy so we can understand what’s happening, find practical steps, and make changes over time
(If therapy jargon feels off‑putting, that’s okay. The most important thing is that the approach fits you, and we can talk it through simply.)
What you can expect
- Warmth and empathy, without judgement
- A collaborative style where we work alongside each other
- Space for both relief now and understanding deeper patterns (if you want that)
- A safe place to talk honestly, including about thoughts you might feel ashamed of (like intrusive thoughts or “what if” fears), without being labelled or blamed
Is this the right fit for you?
We might be a good fit for each other if you’re looking for someone who is warm, professional, and willing to help you explore what’s going on. Whether that’s anxiety, low mood, relationship stress, life transitions, ADHD‑related concerns, or a mind that won’t stop overthinking.
If you’re unsure, that’s completely normal. A short conversation may help you decide.
If you’d like to talk, you’re welcome to call or email. There’s no obligation.
